Day 1 - Intial Reflection

I just completed my first Assistive Technology of this summer. It appears that it's going to be a lot different than the one that I did last summer. Last summer's course was mainly about AT to assist students with severe disabilities.

This course, from what I gathered today, is going to be about AT for students with 'normal' disabilities, those with LD, Austim, Asperger's, ADD/ADHD, and other more common disablities. I think that this particular course is going to be more relevant to the position that I'm currently doing, which is teaching at a grade 5/6 level, with no students with severe disabilities. While last year's course provided very good information that I will need in the future, I couldn't use the knowledge that I gained immediately. I hope that I can use the information from this summer's AT course this coming September.

Plus, I recieved an IPod Touch that I can investigate the next three weeks, which is VERY, VERY exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
